I'd like to give my white crown tail betta and natural diet ?

At the moment I am feeding him live/frozen/freezed dried blood worms, dapnia, flakes, pellets and brine shrimp. I'd like to give him a natural diet. What things would he be eating in the wild ? I get mosquito larva in this little bucket filled with fresh water, then in a few weeks they are all gone... Can I feed him these ? What is the best natural diet ? NO LIVE FISH.
