Whats the best way to insulate a Basement with some Lime stone walls.?

Should I insulate the floor ceiling with rolled insulation or sheets of styrofoam insulation. I was thinking about puting up sheets of styrofoam insulation the same way you put up ceiling tiles. I was wondering if there is something you can spray on limestone walls. I was also wondering how to insulate crawl spaces and water pipes.
