Do you think the emergence of consciousness had apes killing the previous evolved ape in the ladder?

And IS that why there are no Neanderthals or cavemen walking around.....because the family bloodline in power TODAY....is what brought death to our primal ancestors. If anyone can understand what i am saying of course?....
