Is there really any coolant additive that fixes a blown head gasket?
I am 90% sure I blew my head gasket in my 92 ford explorer last weekend towing a heavy camper with low coolant. My truck has a rough idle and I am starting to see white spots in my oil. I have seen some head gasket fixing additives in auto stores but do any actually work. I changed the heads and gaskets once already when i bought the truck so I know how big of a pain they are but the auto store at the time said they had some $50 additive that would work. I don't recall what it was called but it really just looked like a bottle of windshield wiper fluid that you are suppose to add to your coolant. is there a quick fix or am I doomed to change the head gaskets again?
